the death of my laptop

it is a sad, sad thing that my laptop has been officially declared dead.
indeed. i am not going to say that it's been easy this past week without it... and it will never be forgotten.
BUT that is why i haven't posted in a while. i know, excuses, excuses.

i just have time for a quick update...

i miss everyone like crazy. i feel like i've been here for years and i've only been here for 16 days.

i am going to camp with the kids and jackie on saturday for an awesome week of ecocamp!!

i've learned how to make zucchini cake and flour tortillas and stewed chicken.

i'm reading this really interesting book called the glass castle.

i am trying my best to find a copy of eclipse down here... but may just wait til i return to the states.

i've had a few days out of the jungle to spend some time with emil and charles and brad.

and now i'm about to take some online quizzes to wrap up my online class.
